These artificial graphite electrodes, distinct from natural graphite electrodes, are made from carefully selected aggregates such as petroleum coke and bituminous coke, bound together with coal tar pitch. The raw materials undergo a series of precise processes including calcination, crushing, milling, kneading, and graphitization, resulting in a superior product that meets the highest standards.
When handling our electrodes, it is crucial to exercise caution and ensure their safety. During transportation, be mindful of using a forklift and avoid any collisions. Remember to stack one layer of goods at a time, maintaining balance and alignment to prevent falling or breakage. When loading and unloading with a forklift, always use wire rope instead of steel wrapping tape to secure the electrodes.
For proper storage, keep the electrodes in a clean and dry place. If piling up outdoors, cover them with a rain-proof tarpaulin, ensuring that the number of piling layers does not exceed four. By following these guidelines, you can safeguard the quality and integrity of our electrodes.
When using our electrodes, it is essential to employ special tools to cut the steel wrapping tape, avoiding any potential bursting. Do not use steel-wire ball, metallic brush, or emery cloth to clean the electrode thread. Instead, use compressed air that is free of oil and water for effective cleaning.
To prevent breakage of the electrode thread, use a revolved resilient hanger and place a soft truss pad under the electrode joint. When lifting the electrode to the furnace, utilize a hoister with resilient hangers. Take care to find the center and move slowly downwards, ensuring a secure fit by screwing and tightening with a hoop.
It is crucial to avoid any contact or overpressure between the two poles of the two electrodes, as this may have adverse effects. To further prevent electrode breakage, arrange larger materials in the lower part and smaller materials in the upper part.
