The crucible is a utensil or melting tank vessels that is made of refractory material (such as clay, graphite, clay, quartz or difficult molten metal iron, etc.).

> Isostatic Silicon Carbide Graphite Crucible
Graphite crucible, also known as molten copper ladle, molten copper, etc., It is made by firing graphite, clay, silica and wax as raw materials. Graphite crucible is mainly used to smelt copper, brass, gold, silver, zinc and lead and other non-ferrous metals and their alloys.
The silicon carbide graphite crucible is made by adding silicon carbide particles of varying content to the raw material of the graphite crucible. For example, the content is 50%, 24%, and other different content. Of course, it can also be based on the different requirements of customers. Custom-made graphite crucibles with varying amounts of silicon carbide.
Characteristic of Silicon Carbide Graphite Crucible
> High thermal conductivity: use of graphite and other raw materials with high thermal conductivity, the melting time is shortened;
> Thermal shock resistance: strong thermal shock resistance, it is not easy to crack for rapid cooling and heating;
> High heat resistance: high temperature resistance, can withstand high temperature of 1200-1650ºC;
> Corrosion resistance: strong corrosion resistance to molten metal;
Bulk Density g/cm³ | 1.9-2.1 |
Porosity % | 10-14 |
Carbon Content % | 30-45 |
Silicon Carbide content % | ≥48 |
Temperature resistance ºC | 1635-1665 |
Use an appropriate base (same material and equivalent size). Allow the crucible to expand and contract. The furnace cover should not be pressed on the crucible. In the resistance furnace, the fiber blanket should not be tightly compressed onto the crucible. The lining must be repaired and made as concentric as possible, which will prevent the flame in the flame heating furnace from deflection and impact on the crucible to ensure correct melting.
Preheating and maintenance (furnace temperature)
> Preheat for 3 hours at a constant temperature at 200 degrees;
> Preheat at a constant temperature of 700 degrees for 2 hours;
> Preheat at a constant temperature of 900 degrees for 1 hour;
> Shut down the furnace to cool the crucible to no redness;
> Then the temperature is raised to the normal aluminum melting/feeding temperature and the feeding is added in a vertical direction of 90 degrees.
Notes of operating crucibles
> The crucible should be stocked in the dry situation;
> Carry the crucible lightly;
> Warm the crucible in the drying machine or near the furnace. The warming temperature should be up to 500ºC;
> The crucible should be put under the furnace month flat;
> When put the metal into the crucible, you should take the crucible capacity as your reference. If the crucible is too full, it will be damaged by expansion;
> The clamps shape need as that of crucible. Avoid the concentrate stressed destroy of the crucible;
> Clean the crucible regularly and lightly;
> The crucible should be put in the center of the furnace and leave some distance between the crucible and furnace;
> Turn the crucible once in one week and this way can keep the service life;
> The flame should not touch the crucible directly;
> 24 hours constant use will make crucibles have longer service life;
The smelt soup in the crucible should be cleared out when the furnace stop working, in order to avoid molten soup solidificating and will be expanded when fire to reheat, and affect the service life of crucible or even burst.
> We suggest that about 2 months for crucible melting aluminum alloy (every week for melting copper alloy), hanging out to check whether there is something wrong in the surface, and clean furnace hearth as well as turn the crucible, this operation ishelpful to prolong the service life of crucible.
1. The crucible must be stored in a dry environment, preferably on a wooden pallet, and kept well ventilated;
2. The crucible can be stacked when placed upside down;
3. The crucible must not be exposed to a humid environment, otherwise the glaze layer of the crucible after absorbing moisture will easily peel off during the crucible preheating, which will cause the graphite to be oxidized, and the thermal conductivity of the crucible will gradually decrease, which will reduce the service life of the whole crucible.
Qingdao TTWY Manufacturing Co.,Ltd is a company specialized in producing casting equipment. It is located in Qingdao,a beautiful harbor city,which is convenient in transportation. Especially in graphite products, for expamle, the graphite electrode, graphite crucible, clay graphite crucible,
Isostatic graphite crucible, etc;
Q1: What information should I let you know if i want to get a quotation?
A: The required material dimension (Thickness*Width*Length,diameter*length; if possible, please kindly supply us drawings).
